Single vs Double Hook Triggers

This information was obtained from Harlan of Nodak Spud, by Bladewurk of Calguns

The trigger slot dimension is basically the same on the NDS-3, NDS-65, NDS-7, and NDS-8 receivers. These receivers have a single hook slot. The slot is dimensioned for the Century trigger. The slot allows some overtravel with the TAPCO G2 trigger but we have found that general function is okay. The Arsenal/KVAR trigger and Century trigger have less overtravel than does the G2 trigger, and we think the Arsenal/KVAR fire control set will provide a stronger reset.

The NDS-1, NDS-1P, NDS-1ROM, NDS-M92, NDS-2, NDS-2SF, and NDS-2T receivers have basically the same trigger slot, which is shorter in length than for the receivers listed in the first paragraph. The receivers have a single hook slot. The triggers you list below will have about the same overtravel in these receivers. We think the Arsenal/KVAR FCG will provide a stronger reset than the TAPCO G2 FCG.

The NDS-4, NDS-5, NDS-9 and NDS-Y556 receivers have double hook slots. Any of the triggers you list will work with these receivers, as will double hook triggers. Added by Sean Newton: I believe the listed triggers were the Century trigger, KVAR trigger, and the Tapco single hook trigger
