An Overview of Ceska Zbrojovka (CZ) Weapons

This article is a stub, intended primarily to serve as a linking point for articles on CZ firearms

CZ is a name which may be applied to a variety of Czech-made firearms, which may have been built at a number of different factories, all of which shared the "CZ" designation but were separate companies. The Wikipedia articles below are relevant.

CZ has produced a large number of guns on contract for other nations' militaries, incidentally. The Bren LMG was one such example.

Notable Clones

The CZ action is an updated Browning action, and has been licensed to a number of companies over the years.
  • Czechpoint Firearms produces semi-automatic versions of the VZ-58 and other Czech weapons.
  • EAA's Witness series are CZ-75 derivatives.
  • IMI's Jericho pistols are CZ-75 derivatives.
  • Magnum Research's Baby Eagle pistols are CZ-75 derivatives.
