Notes on Reloading 5.7x28mm

• It's reported that 25% or so of the cases get their mouths crushed when belling, at each load. I have not experienced this myself, but I'm only firing out of a PS90 rifle and it may not abuse the cases as badly as the five seven pistol, which most folks are firing this caliber out of.
• Dillon Precision refuses to support this caliber officially. They won't release a shellplate for any of their presses, however there are aftermarket plates running around for the 550. There's also a hack available for an old version of the Dillon 650 shellplate - apparently you can flip one of their old 50 AE plates upside down, and insert RCBS single stage shellplates into each of the shell stations. I bought one of their 50AE shellplates, and discovered it is a newer design that will not accomodate the shellplates. In short, this is worth checking out if you already have the shellplate, but don't bother trying to order one for this purpose.
• Accurate Powder has published load data. They recommend their #5 and #7 powders. Folks who've tried those loads (on http://www.fivesevenforums.com/) state that they seem to be more powerful than standard factory loads.
• I have verified a load with Blue Dot powder for this caliber, available in my load data list.
